Welcome to JDG Auto Valeting's world of glossy cars!

JDG Auto Valeting was established by me, Johnathan Goodall in May 2009, with the aim of offering my clients value for money whilst providing excellent valeting and detailing service. It is this passion that has seen me work on some of the finest cars, ranging from an MG BGT through to the mighty McLaren Mercedes SLR. My customers call me their 'high class valeter' and 'Stockport's number one independent detailer' when recommending me to their friends.

In July 2009 I became a member of the British Valeter's Organisation. In 2013 I attended a Leather Smart Repair Training Day, which taught me a lot of ways to repair leather interiors. I also run a research and development programme, I test all new products on my van and my car, as this is the only way to run a real simulation that will test the products against the manufacturer's claims because not all products live up to the hype.

Customer loyalty is something that is earnt. I earn it by listening to my customers about their expectations. I then not only meet there expectations, I surpass them and therefore guarantee my customers are always happy. Below are my three most popular requested services. It takes time to valet a car properly so the paint work does not get damaged by swirl marks or scratches. Unfortunately over the past twenty years there has been an increase in cheap hand car washes, where workers are untrained. They use all the wrong products such as traffic film remover that is acidic based and can cause damage to trim on vehicles. There is also the fact that they use sponges and squeegees for quick drying! You may ask what is wrong with this as people have done this for ages. The fact is sponges hold onto dirt and grit, which creates the swirl marks and squeegees can scratch paintwork. I always use the PH nuetral products along with the two-bucket method, grit guard, lambs wool wash pad and super-soft micro-fibre drying towel. This is a practice carried out by all professional valeters and  detailers, as it is the safest way to wash a car.

My detailing services start at a maintenance detail and go through to paint correction.

Convertible roof maintenance

Convertible cars look great if they are cared for but can soon start to collect pollen and other contamination. I offer soft- top deep clean and  re-proof, as well as re-colouring for when the colour has started to fade.

Recent work

Work carried out recently includes a new car detail on a Porsche 911 Targa, a paint enhancement detail on a 19 plate BMW 440I and a paint enhancement detail on Ford Mustange bulllt. Finally a  maintenace detail on an Aston Martin DB12 convertible.

About me

So far you have had chance to read about my valeting and detailing business and gathered that I love cars, especially ones with glossy paint work. I thought it important that my customers and potential customers know a bit more about me, I was born in 1971 and as a child I used to help my dad work on his old Volvo 240DL when it needed fixing, which is where my love of all things automotive comes from. As time went by, I started to wash his car then make sure the interior was nice and clean. This attention to detail served me well as when I turned 21 I purchased one of my favorite cars -  a Volvo 480ES, which was washed and polished every weekend that the weather permitted. After that I worked in different jobs but was never happy with them, until one morning I woke up and realised I should take my passion for cars and start a valeting and detailing business. The rest as they say is history!
