Premier valet on a 2019 Range Rover

Valeting

When choosing a valeter, it is extremely important to do your homework, as over the last twenty years the standards of valeting has declined. This is mostly due to cheap hand car washes that use untrained staff, cheap acidic traffic film remover, wheel acid and aqua blades (squeegees) that scratch the paint work. A proper valeter will only use PH nuetral products along with lamb’s wool wash pad/mitt and micro fibre drying towels, which will leave the paint work scratch free as well as preventing swirl marks, that can be seen in direct sun light. If your car has matte paint or has been matte wrapped, you have to be careful, as the only car shampoo you can use on a matte finish is matte shampoo, as it does not contain any gloss enhancers. These gloss enhancers can damage the matte effect. Carbon fibre brakes are usually fitted to prestigious sports cars such as Ferrari, Porsche and Aston Martin. When cleaning wheels fitted with carbon fibre brakes, it is of upmost importance that only water is used, as the likes of wheel acid and even some non acidic wheel cleaners can cause damage to the carbon fibre compound.

Please note that maintenance valets are not offered as one of valets I only offer this service to customers that have had a minimum of a premier valet.

Premier Valet

1. Exterior Deep Clean & Decontamination

The exterior process focuses on "safe washing" to prevent swirl marks (those fine circular scratches often caused by automated washes).

Wheel & Arch Detail: Wheels are cleaned deeply, including behind the spokes, followed by a cleaning of the wheel arches.

Pre-Wash & Snow Foam: The car is covered in a thick layer of snow foam to lift loose grit and road grime followed by a high-pressure rinse before any contact is made with the paint.

Two-Bucket Method: A safe hand-wash follows using pH-neutral shampoos and high-quality wash mitts, this prevents swirl marks.

Decontamination: This is a professional step where tar spots are chemically removed.

Drying: The vehicle is dried using plush, microfiber drying towels to prevent water spotting.

2. Protection & Finishing Touches

Hand Polish: polish is applied to the paintwork which gives it a nice glossy look, I also offer an option of having a high-quality wax or sealant applied to the paint work which will protection against UV rays and road salt.

Trim & Tyre Dressing: External plastics are treated to restore their deep black colour, and tyres are dressed for a "new" look using non-silicon-based products.

3. Interior Restoration

The interior valet is a "top-to-bottom" process aimed at removing deep-seated dirt and Odors.

Deep Vacuuming: Every crevice is tackled, including under seats, the boot area, and all storage compartments.

Upholstery & Carpet Shampoo: Fabric seats and carpets are wet-vacuumed (extracted) to pull out ingrained dirt and stains.

Leather Care: If the vehicle has leather, it is cleaned with dedicated formulas, and I can offer a range of leather conditioners to help moisturise your leather interior.

Surface Detailing: The dashboard, door panels, and centre console are cleaned using detailing brushes to reach into vents and buttons, then finish with a non-silicone dressing.

Glass: all internal glass is polished for a streak-free finish.

Final Inspection: A walk-around ensures no residue is left behind and that the vehicle meets my high professional standards.

Pre sale & lease return valets

If you are going to sell your car, it has to look perfect, as the problem is if it doesn't the tyre kickers will use it as an excuse to knock the price down! It is the same for returning a lease car as lease companies have a charge for everything, from the interior been dirty through to scratches and these charges can get quite hefty. I have the experience and eye for detail, which will make sure you can sell or return your car with minimum fuss. For more information contact me via email or phone.
