These are some of the questions I get asked by customers.

. Q, Are you insured to work on my vehicle?

. A, Yes I carry full public liabilaty insurance (slip & trip aswell as vehicles worked up on). a Im more than happy to show my insurance details before starting work on your vehicle as a lot of detailers do not carry insurance.

. Q, There is light circular scratches in my paint work, what are they and can you make my paint work look like new again?

. A, These circular scratches are called swirl marks and are caused by incorrect washing techniques. The most common offenders are automated car washes and the local hand sponge wash. I can make your paint work look like new again by either an enhancement detail or by a paint correction detail.

. Q, I have had my car buffed by the car dealer before. I took delivery and there are marks all over that look like holograms where the buffer has been. It is most noticable in the sun can you correct this?

. A, Not a problem. I can do this with an anti-hologram detail. The holograms will have been caused by either a dirty polishing pad or by the machine polisher being used at too high a speed, which has got the paint work too hot.

. Q, I have purchased a vehicle and there is a tobacco/pet odour inside. I did not notice it at first as there was a powerfull air freshener in the car can you remove the odour?

. A, Yes I can remove the odour but to do this I have to do a deep interior clean and shampooing (carpets, matts, seats and head lining). Then I put my interior deoderiser in the vehicle which fills the car with fog. This fog is human and pet safe and kills all airborne and still bacteria. It can also clean your air conditioning system. I leave the fog in the car for about 30-60 minutes depending on the odour, then I open all the doors to release the fog and your car is odour free.

. Q, What protection do you leave on my vehicle's paint work?

. A, I have a range of waxes and sealants, some waxes protect for 3-4 months and others protect for 6 months with one single coat. My traditional sealants can protect for 6 months whereas nano sealants protect for 12 months and ceramic sealants can protect up to 24 months. I can also do a sealant wax combination that gives a minimum of 12 months protection, to protect your wheels from trafic film etc. I have a specialist wheel wax for alloy wheels.

. Q, What is the difference between sealants and wax?

. A, Wax is a natural product, the main ingrediant being carnuabba which mostly comes from Brazil or Colombia. Sealants are a synthetic man made product that has been designed to protect simalar to teflon in a frying pan. These can last for 6 months, but if you go for nano sealant it can last up to 12 months and ceramic sealants can last up to 24 months.

. Q, My convertables soft top is looking tired and dirty can you clean it?

. A, I offer a soft top cleaning service that includes your soft top being re-sealed to protect it.

. Q, My engine bay is dirty and I would like it cleaning, can you do it and how do you do it?

. A, I offer under bonnet detailing that is a specialist detailing service. I do not use my pressure washer in the engine bay as this is the incorrect way of cleaning an engine and can cause a lot of damage. If any water gets into the electrics, ecu's etc. I clean by hand and finally dress the engine bay.

. Q, What's the difference between you and my local hand sponge wash?

. A, There is a number of differences. Firstly hand car washes use acidic based products that can strip the wax from your paint/sealants from your paint work. Hand car washes rely on bulk turn over work where as I don't put a time limit on any work I do. The biggest difference is that hand car washes use sponges and chamios leathers that create swirl marks in the paint work due to the fact that they collect grit and scratch the paint work. Also hand car washes do not change their wash water (you would not use the same bath water all week.)That's what they are doing taking dirt from car to car. The worst thing they do is to use aqua blades(squeages). These can cause a lot of scratches in your paint work.

. Q, Are you an approved detailer for any detailing manufacturers?

. A, I used to be an approved detailer but I found I had to use all there products on a detail, and I found that some of the products did not give as good a result as I wanted. So the result was I was not happy with the detail. I am now an independent detailer so I can choose which ever product I want on the detail, so the end result is perfection.

. Q, Do you offer a free quotation?

. A, I come to you to view the vehicle and listen to your requirements. I can also offer advice on how to get your vehicle looking its best. This service is free of charge and it usualy results in a bespoke detail for the customer's vehicle.

. Q, Do you offer an after care service?

. A, I offer a range of maintanance plans that range from weekly - monthly these range from Detailed wash through to maintenance details.

. Q, How much notice do I need to book an appointment?

. A, I usualy say give me one month as I am usualy booked up for a minimum of one month in front of myself.

. Q, When can you detail my vehicle?

. A, Let me check my diary.
